Raydel Montero-Rico, 22, of Lancaster, only took the infant to a hospital in Hershey after the child’s mother returned home around 6 a.m. Aug. 13, 2021, the morning after the alleged abuse at his Manor Township home, the outlet reports.
Montero-Rico reportedly said the child had fallen and cut his eye, according to the affidavit LNP obtained. Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency were called to investigate.
Montero-Rico was charged with three felonies— two counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangering the welfare of children, on Tuesday, Apr. 19, court records show.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. May 3, according to court documents.
